WHO'S WHO OF SAILING IN ROCK
There are three sailing bodies in Rock, and they often get mixed up: CEYS the charity (that’s us), RSWSC the sailing club, and the sailing school where CEYS lessons take place.
CEYS (Camel Estuary Youth Sailing) was established in 2006. Its aim is to teach local children - primarily 9-10 yr-olds recruited from local schools - to sail. It is separate from the sailing club and the sailing centre, although the three work closely together.

RSWSC (Rock Sailing & Water-Ski Club) is a members-only club based on the quayside opposite The Mariners at Rock. The club welcomes new boating members and also offers social membership to Cornwall residents who don’t sail or ski. Children who have completed the CEYS course (and achieved RYA Stage 3 on that course) are invited to join as Local Juniors - allowing them to develop their sailing and racing skills if they wish.

CAMEL SAILING & POWERBOAT CENTRE is a commercially-run and RYA-endorsed tuition centre located close to the lifeboat station at Rock. It is this company that runs all the courses funded by CEYS.
