CEYS children back on the water !

After nearly two seasons lost to covid, 27 new recruits had their first sailing taster session on Saturday 3rd July on the Camel Estuary, prior to lessons proper starting in September.  Towed over to the Padstow side for shelter and a gentle beach, children started to learn the basics hands-on and at the end the boats were helmed by the children under sail (and very close safety supervision) back across the estuary.

No-one ducked out (though one or two chose a ducking) and everyone really did go home wanting more.

CEYS hopes to have up to forty new young sailors on the water in the Autumn, all in the distinctive blue and yellow-coloured sail Fusion boats owned by the sailing school - the same as those owned for use by juniors (post - Covid) at the sailing club.
